TyC (born 15th May 1995 Nairobi, Kenya, a.k.a. "95 Kid" or "Young Lion") is an 18-year old rapper from Zurich, Switzerland. 

Born and raised by an African mother in Kenya until 2002 when TyC moved to Switzerland, Zurich to reunite with his Swiss Father, at the age of 7.

His influence from Hip Hop and Rap music were minor, until he turned 14 in High School and performed a small concert for the entire school which received immense positive feedback. The result was a hunger for more critical reception and lyrical skill. At the time, TyC gave himself the name Severe.

After releasing 3 songs in January 2009, there was a break in the musical career of Severe due to educational and psychological reasons. 

However, 3 years later, TyC started an entire new project with the new name TyC (= Tend Your Consious) - With the aim to keep the sounds as "Old School" as possible. The first song released was actually a cypher freestyle named "Improvisation Sensation" Featuring and produced by fellow High School friend San-T.

The mixtape that followed shortly after (TyC 2013: The Rawest) reached high critical reception and thousands of plays and downloads on Soundcloud in the USA and world wide. TyC's soundcloud page since then has turned into one of Switzerland's most important HQs for NYC style underground hip hop available for free download. Now 18 years old, 

TyC is commonly referred to as "authentic hip hop from the 90s" as he mainly uses phrasing and boom bap beats to edge the competition with a unique style. 

Within 8 months the young MC also referred to as "Young Lion", "95 Kid" released 23 tracks such as "Bring The Boom Back", "The Man", "95 Kid Gemini", "90s Baby" and "Traffic", as his statement is to "keep the sounds coming 24/7".

TyC states his influences in Hip Hop at the beginning were mainly Eminem and Jay-Z, up until he discovered the time of 90s Hip Hop. His current favorite artists are Joey Badass, Kendrick Lamar, Ab Soul, Action Bronson, Raekwon, CJ Fly and many others.
